Angry Itchy legs - driving me CRAZY!!!

OK a few weeks ago I had an incident with a small civilisation of redbacks in my backyard and of course they made me a bit paranoid. I started feeling itchy at that point.

But the thing is, the spiders are now gone and I'm still itchy

The itchiness goes from my knees, to the top of my legs and it is driving me NUTS!! That is the only place it's itchy.

The only other thing I can think of is my new cat. I don't think she has fleas, I use Revolution each month on her and I haven't seen any fleas, but then why would fleas only attack my legs??

Could it be her sitting on my lap?

Short of amputation, what can I do. This is driving me insane *scratches*

Try washing them with diluted Pinetarsel (from chemist). It's supposed to stop itching. I know it sounds bizarre, but I shave my legs if they're feeling itchy!

I considered that, but my legs are generally pretty hairless, even after shaving they still drive me nuts.

I've never heard of Pinetarsel, thanks for that

yeah pinetarsol is good for itching - i remember when as a teenager I had chicken pox had to soak in a bath with it in it to stop the itch - sorta remeber it didnt smell too nice though (long time ago though)?

Just wondering maybe if you have changed your washing detergent recently - if you wear shorts a bit and it was a reaction to washing liquid etc then area covered by shorts etc prob would be place more in contact?

Another thing could be grass allergy - i really react to grass and have been quite itchy all over recently with all the wind etc (maybe seeds/pollen or something?) - when i sat on the dry grass in the yard recently i broke out it a massive rash all over my legs
