    Wink Does Money Buy Happiness??

Just saw a quick segmant on 'the morning show', asking, can money buy happiness?

Dh and I have discussed this before, when we were quite 'poor', we had such a good time, we were working less, and found pleasure in the simple things (like saturday night we cooked chicken snitzel and chips for dinner, it was such a huge treat for us!).
Then, as the years went on, our careers progressed, we were both earning much more, but working silly hours, and really weren't all that happy

About 18 months ago we decided to change back, I took on a new job, we started our own business, and now, well, we're still working on getting the 'simple' things back, but are happier working less (most of the time for dh).

    So, does money buy happiness?

I guess if i had a massive amount of money it would make things easier.
It would be one less thing to worry about (but then i suppose it would just create new problems?)
I'm happy as i am now. We are not rich at all but we have a roof over our heads and each other.
    We enjoy the simple pleasures.

No, money does not equal happiness.

It can ease your financial stress, but it wont make you happy.

To ppl who struggle from pay to pay...sure money would make life sooo much better.

Those born with a silver spoon in their mouth...who'll always have anything they want and never have money worries....sure it'd get boring lucky them!

It'd be great if we could just say...ok, lets go on a holiday here, or the car is OLD...lets just get another one...oh I love that house..lets buy it, oohh, lovey furniture...sure, we'll take it all...oooh, new clothes yay!!!

This can be a sensitive subject so I'm trying to be careful here.
The answer is I don't know.

We might not be a billionaire lol but we are happy and contented because we have a roof over our heads and that life's good because we dont have any debt.

But the most important thing is that there's love and respect in our house and I'm pretty sure that this is the reason that we are happy and contented not because we have money.
