Tess was about 11mnths too I think. No formula or cows milk.

Just started offering lunch first (before boob) and tried to make sure she got some dairy with her lunch (yogurt/cheese etc) & plenty of water for fluid.

We are now in the process of cutting down to one feed, I am ready to stop, over it, but do feel sad that soon my breastfeeding days with her will be over. It is a really special time.

    Thanks Dingo.

My DD is allergic to dairy, and I've just been given some prescription formula for her if I want to wean, but it seems like revolting stuff, so I'm not sure if she'll take it.

We're seeing a dietition in a few weeks. Hope it will give us a few ideas.

DD is 20 months, eating constantly, has lots of water all day, & still on 5 or so BF a day. She's dairy intolerant, so won't really be trying to cut it right back (albeit gradually) till she's two and can have hi-calcium soy. she's never had formula either, and never used a bottle. a real boobie-bear. sigh.

I did use natural yogurt mixed with banana usually once per day and about 1 cup of soy milk. I use soy milk for myself anyway. Have you tried soy milk in a sippy cup for your DD?

I think I started cheese around 12 months and have only recently(18 months) started mixing cows milk with the soy milk to see if there is any reaction to all the lactose in milk.
