Cool When is the best time to buy new bras?

    Hi Everyone

I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and amazed at how big my boobs have become, to the extent that none of my current bras really fit anymore.

I am wondering when the best time to buy bigger bras would be as I would hate to waste the money only to grow out of them again, so I suppose my real question is, how big can they possibly get and when will they stop getting bigger?

Thank you so much for your advice xo

I'm not sure of the 'best' time - I bought maternity bras at about 16 weeks because NOTHING fitted me anymore! I'm 31 weeks and they're still fine, so hopefully they'll be OK once I start breastfeeding. But I think every woman is different.

I read somewhere that from about 20 weeks onwards you should be wearing maternity bras (i.e. no underwire) so as not to interfere with milk production.

I'd go and get one or two cheapies from big W and stick with them for a couple of months and see what happens. I had one size that fitted through pregnancy, and then a second size for the first 5 months of bf'ing and since then I've been back in my pregnancy sized bras. But I think you're better off with something that fits and is supportive at any stage.

I bought a couple of cheapies from big W when i was about 7 weeks and was sleeping in one coz my boobs hurt so much.

I then went & got fitted at 16 weeks with some nice HOTMilk ones and bought 2 of them, i got them a little bit bigger though so as to grow...

I still sleep in my cheapies & wear them around the house & wear my good ones when i go out...

They fit me perfect as they havent really grown anymore since 16 weeks, im now 28weeks.

    Good luck hun

My boobs had doubled in size by 7 weeks (I only found out I was pregnant when I was 5 weeks) but didnt get new bras till nearly 30 weeks, (my mum had to buy them for me cos DH didnt really get that it was important and I needed to be fitted) but I think the size might be slightly larger to allow for when my milk comes in. I got 2 more expensive ones and then bought a cheap one from Big W. Basically I think the best time to get new bras is when you dont fit in your old ones anymore.

I was a 10 d before pg, grew way out of those around 8 weeks. Bought 12DD from Target, thought those might last a while as they were reasonably loose.

They are starting to get a little small now.... (22 weeks ish).

I am going to go to Myers and get fitted and hopefully whatever size they suggest will fit when my milk comes in.

My answer? get new bras when old ones don't fit and you feel like you need support. My boobs hurt really badly the first 4 months. I would cry if I bumped them. I had to have something that supported them night and day.
