We have a 2006 commodore sv6 sedan and it cost around $100 to fill and get 550 km out of it, dh has a Toyota surf 4wd that he uses to get to the farm everyday and we also use it for 4wd and towing our boat. It's a turbo diesel but still not the best on fuel.

We have a 2010 Holden Epica and currently one child. It costs around $80 to fill every 2 -3 weeks. Love it as it is basically as big as a Commodore sizewise but only a 6cyl so we get the room but not the extra petrol costs

I have an Epica aswell LOVE it!!!! I was driving a landcruiser but got sick fo paying $300+ a fortnight on fuel. This car is AWESOME on fuel!!! I have 3 kids, and they all fit nicely in the back. 1 is in a baby seat and 1 in a booster too!
It costs me around $70 to fill and i get over 400km's out of a tank.

DH drives a 100 series Landcruiser. Its Diesel....and i have no idea what it costs on fuel! Its nowhere near as much as mine used to cost, but mine was a 4.5l petrol guzzler! He works away and it only really gets driven down to work and back every second week, and then its our "holiday car" for when we go away camping or holidays

Nothing wrong with Gas. Heaps of cars have it these days. i dont know why everyone doesnt have it lol. But you get the rebate back too so you dont pay anything or maybe a litte to convert it to CHEAP gas!

We have an epic too, It is amazing on fuel!!

I actually sold my Rav for an epica (have only had it 7 months!! ) but now I'm in the process of trading it in for an Outlander as I'm so sick of a sedan!! lol I loved the epica so much but I just hated not having an SUV.
Now are beautiful Puppy can come on trips with us

I have a ford XR6 turbo. It costs me about $80-$90 to fill with current fuel prices which only gives me 400-440kms.
Very heavy on petrol but I can't part with it :-/

We bought our 2010 Jeep Patriot brand new - its a 4 cylinder and I LOVE it! Before that we had a 91' corolla hatch then a v6 falcon and that guzzled gas like no tomorrow! We get 450-500km out of the patriot for $60-65 depending on fuel prices. We also wanted something more family friendly. We've done 20k in it so far and I'm still in love! Would recommend a Jeep to anyone!

We have a Mazda 3 sedan. It fits 2 adults, 2 kids, pram + luggage but you have to leave the kitchen sink at home. We have a trendy slim line roof rack for bulky items. Very economical, easy to drive and park.
