I used to work in darlinghurst and live in Rose Bay.

I have not heard many good things about Darlinghurst PS infact a few people I knew removed their kids from there.

I have a few friends with kids in Bondi PS and Rose Bay PS and they are all really happy with those schools.

Darlinghurst is only a stones throw from Redfern and from what I have heard the school has troubled kids who have caused some issues.

    Thanks JenL.
There is a new principle at darlo primary now and apparently it's supposed to be a really good school these days.. small number of kids (120) and the principle is really progressive.

My choice is between the local paddington public school (our catchment area) or the local darlinghurst one (we'd need to put our name down for it) and whilst I've heard good things about glenmore rd primary (the paddo one) I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts in comparring them.

    Thanks for your feedback!
Do you know much about the Rose Bay high school? Is that anygood?

I have no idea about RB HS. Most of my friends have sent their kids to private schools, only a small amount are public.

I can tell you heaps about Kambala, Sydney Grammar, Reddam House etc.

I hope you find some answers

Thanks JenL... the thought of private schools gives me the willies. I went to one and loathed it, as did hubby.

And the $20,000 a year price tag I find so hard to get my head around. Would rather take them overseas to a different country every year, so they can see the world they live in, than cough it out on school fees.

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to write back!

Default Yes please! tell us heaps!

    Hello

So hard to find out anything about Sydney schools. Was looking at Sydney Grammar & Reddam House for bright children, & Sydney Boys High School, but so little info available that's not produced by the schools themselves. Anything! would be very welcome.

    Many many thanks

Apparently Sydney Boys and Sydney Girls is extremely difficult to get into. DH was speaking with DD1's preschool teachers about it the other day and they said academically your kids have to be brilliant to make it in. People come from all across Sydney to get into SBH and SGH.

    Hi there,

I have a son who I am thinking of sending to Reddam or Cranbrook or Grammar. What do you know about these schools? Thank so much! As someone else said its so hard to find info about a school not published by the school themselves!
