Default Suggestions on how to get an 11 month old to sleep please...!

It's not really practical or even nice to rock a 14.5kg 11 month old for up to 90 mins every time he's tired. I will try CC as a last resort but if anyone could give me any advice on alternatives I'm all ears.

We've not changed any routines. At night he has a bath, bottle, bed routine which for ages was working well. Unless you put him in his cot 100% asleep he just will not go to sleep. He prefers to roll over, crawl around, cry and through his dummy out

When we bounce him on the swiss ball he'll often try and push you away. He's also so interested in anything else (eg move your hand and it's the most interesting thing in the world).

    Any suggestions???????

Do you have one of those mobiles that project a little light show on the ceiling. DS has one and he's 11 months and he falls asleep every night to it!

Well we tried it this afternoon and he was just facinated with the little gizmo. So facinated he broke free of his wrap (yep, he's still wrapped) and went over to inspect. I re-wrapped him, and moved the light thingy onto a chest of drawers to it would play on the wall over his cot. He was very interested and broke free of his wrap and proceeded to start picking off the freeze around the room.

Will try again tonight hopefully with better results.

We had trouble with DD sleeping from 10 months of age. When she was 15 months I happened to be in Ikea and bought this very cheap blue, plastic wall light. it has holes int eh plastic and looks magical when on. She honestly slept properly without the 2 - 2.5 hour fuss from that day onwards. We only had to show it to her and make a small fuss, and then turn it off.

    Maybe a night light?
