Default B'day present ideas for DP???

    Howdy

My DP's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks, I have no idea what to buy him this year. Ive been thinking about it forr over a month and nothing!!!

I was wondering if anyone had any idea's or suggestions???

It would be good to get some ideas from what you ladies buy your partners and what the bubhub men would like for their b'days.

I just need HELP, this year.

i bought my dp a watch for his birthday this year.

lucky for me, he had picked it out before christmas, but i didnt have the money at the time, so i know what he wanted and i picked it up on a great special with the after christmas sales.

what sort of things is dp in to ?

He's into cars and computers. He cant wear watches, rings etc to work as he's a machanic. I did want to get him a watch but it would never get worn.

Red face hard to think of what to get!

Hmmm, its very hard isn't it. Females are SO much easier to buy for, my DF doesn't agree hehe although he always does a good job in buying me pressies!

Depends how much you want to spend. Does he have any hobbies?

This year i think that i will get DF a new mobile, his always plays up and i know he would like a new one!

Perhaps you could get him a digital camera, you can pick up one fairly cheap these days. But then i really don't know what you want to spend. Or is he into cars and stuff? Coz my DF's sister got her hubby a thing where he could go and drive the supercars (sorry i dont know much about it but he loved it!) Or perhaps you could pay for him 2 go sky diving. I have no idea on the cost of some of the things i have said, they may be expensive but perhaps you could put in together with others.

If you get stuck you could always get him the usual...clothing, socks, jocks etc

Sorry i couldnt be more help But hopefully other bubhubbers have some ideas.

For my DH this year I got him a drive in a V8 supercar
I organised it online through www.adrenalin.com.au. They have heaps of different "adventures" in all areas, at all prices and in all states. DH is doing it in July and CAN'T WAIT!
    Hope this helps

Men really are hard to buy for! My DH surfs and golfs so I can usually fall back on that for him. Golf balls are hardly loving, but hey, he needs them to play the game.

Clothes are usually good. I've bought DH a pair of slide on Colorado shoes (about $90) and CDs. My Sister bought her DH a steering wheel (he's also into cars). I have no idea what that cost. Computer games - there's an excellent one - PGA Tour - has Tiger on the cover (it's golfing but my Brother doesn't play golf and he loved it).

Actually a good one for men who seem to have EVERYTHING (and I've used this for a few) a dart board in a wooden case. I think you can get them fairly cheaply at Big W. You hang them on the wall, they are not in the way and his mates will have a bit of fun too when they come around - it may even drag them away from the cars to be a bit more social .

    Good luck.

    Hiya,
Don't know what your budget is but try www.freemanx.com.au - they do a lot of adventure type stuff - I got my partner a rally car experience. Totally blown away.
They do water, wings, wheels, etc, but I don't know what they have in tassie...
Oh and you can also name a star through this site.

I got him a male pamper package one year, salt rub, vicchy (sp?) shower, massage and then dinner and flash hotel. He though that was great.

Also the casino's do an nice number in packages - dinner/accom/chips/tickets to a show/wine - would that float his boat?

Any concerts/gigs coming up that he would like?

Good luck - I'm in the same boat. I have ten days and this well has run dry.....

Keep 'em coming ladies - save our men from the dreaded jocks and socks birthday.

    Wow hard one!!!!

I understand why you cant go for rings or watches- My DP is a Panell Beater so I feel your pain as I have the same problem........

For chrisi I brought him- Auto Darkeing Welding Helmet- Hed been wanting one for ages so I went out and spoke to a whole bunch of guys about welding(i now know lots about mig, arch & tig welding )and ended up with a $250 job

I also got him 2 seasons of Mash...the only problem was that I gave him all his pressis early as I couldnt wait!! So then I had to go out and buy more presis lol

Just think about stuff hes been saying he needs/wants for work or hobbies that what I do.....

Oh good i'm not the only one! My DP's birthday is on the 14th of April, i'm SO stuck for ideas, let alone not having a decent shopping mall close by.. Mine too will be a last minute rush job though I want it to be special because it's his first birthday of being a Dad!
