What is your upper limit $$$?

I know you say you can't afford a dyson, but the model I bought last year is now $479 and is sooooo worth spending the money. I couldn't believe the amount of stuff that came out of my carpet (and still does) when I vacuum.

i think that would be too much...we have the money but DH is tight with it and loves a bargain!

i could convince him to spend up to 300 probably...

We got an Electrolux bagless for $400 last year. I have to say though, sometimes i wish we had the bags back, it's easier to clean sometimes!

i like the bagless ones, mainly because we always forget to buy new bags, and i find myself standing at the bin with my hand halfway down the bag empyting it out!

that used to be me too, but i find the rattling of all the little bits of gunk that go in the bagless canister sound awful and annoy me, i think i preferred the bags! Good luck whatever you choose hun

Good question. Our vac is also bagless and I have to vac at least twice to get most of it up which is a waste of my time. I was told the dyson but I am also thinking I can't possibly afford near $500 on a vac Although this is now the second vac to go in 2 yrs so maybe it would be better off.

Also apparently Godfreys have esipay which means you pay it off. My girlfriend had to get a new vac and she did it that way. I am thinking I will have to do this!!

Well I just got my dyson, and I'm sooooo glad I got it! Worth every cent in my opinion.

We've just moved in to our place 2 1/2 months ago and i don't think the previous owners had a good vacume.

WEll i did Riley's room and it filled the barrel the first go! It now fills the barrell everytime i do the whole house! To think we've been living in that. Oh and I don't know if it's related, but both my eczema and riley's has improved since!

Trust me it's so worth it, but u have to make sure u get the turbo head, which does the work!!

If your hubby saw the dirt it got out of carpets, i don't think he'd complain about the investment!

It's really easy to clean/empty and stores so compact too!

Dyson all the way here....best money ever spent. Great if u suffer from hay fever....although Ive heard some great reviews on the electrolux models on one of those today tonight shows. My dyson came with heaps of attachments and I got a bonus offer with it at the time and bought another turbo head for it. Its so compact once its all packed up...perfect on all surfaces..tiles, hardwood floors and carpets/rugs. luv the mattress cleaning attachment and large brush for cleaning dust off my leather sofa.

Try one out at a store and see what you think.
I know they are a lot of $$..however
    Best investment
