Yep when pregnant and after having kids i too get upset when hearing all the terrible things that happen out there.
Imagine the poor familys that have to deal with it.

I dont watch the news its just to negatively repetitious....do the stories ever change from murder, rape, robbery, disease, poverty.....

I think the news needs an R rating and be moved to a later timeslot....how can it be not classed as a horror show?

I think that Skyhooks had a song about the 6.30 News being a horror movie

Ok so after reading this i decided not to post the story up that I was going to... but OMG it was the most horrible thing I have ever heard of that I just felt like i needed to talk to someone but I can see how it upset me that it would upset others more by reading it.

If it will be beneficial to you to talk, then I think you should post it, just put *distressing* and choose your title carefully.

What bothers me is that it seems to be part of the year 2 curriculum. (Each of my children has been required (for homework) to watch the news about halfway through year 2.) I really thought the news wasn't appropriate for such young children.

I feel the same way about animal cruelty stories.
