Default Chinese Herbs during cycle.. does it work?

I was wondering if anyone has taken any chinese herbs during an IVF cycle or a FET cycle..... and if so, did they work?

Im looking at starting some herbs for implantation but im unsure as were to start. Is it to late to start to take anything now, with my transfer being on Saturday?

Any information would be much appreciated.

    Hi Stacey,

My acunpuncturist put me on herbs after my transfer. They did not work for me and neither did the acunpuncture but then everyone is different. I have read that acunpuncture and herbs do assist in fertility and helping embryos implant. I would speak to a naturopath/acunpuncturist that specialises in fertility before your transfer if you can. Best of luck for Saturday and sending you lots of

    Hi Stacey

I hear great things about Chinese herbs but I have to tell you that I was seeing a chinese medicine man, getting accupunture and drinking god awful stuff every night and well I am still here waiting for my BFP. I did that for about 6 months. After the last cycle failed I figured no use anymore.

Sorry but I believe they are great for relaxation and general health only.

    Hi Stacey,

It is a pity that you are in QLD otherwise I could recommend the guy I used.

The most important thing is to go to someone who is a fertility specialist.Even better if they understood the IVF process which mine did. If they have no idea what you are talking about then they are not the right person.

I took some herbs but only after I got pregnant to help the embie implant . The main thing I did was acupuncture. As you can see from the replies to your mail, this doesnt always work but I had heard great things about my guy so I thought I am spending enough on IVF whats a few more dollars. Dont know if he made the difference in getting me pregnant but it did work. The most important times to get the acupuncture done are just before the transfer and just after. This helps the blood flow in the womb and gets it nice and ready for the embie to implant.

Good luck with it if you do decide to pursue it.

    Hi Stacey,

    This may help http://www.shentherapies.com.au/.

This is a link to a website of a group in Qld. I have read and heard some excellent things regarding - what they have achieved working with infertile couples and IVF clinics. They provide individual herbal treatments as well as a more generic type which can be used for different parts of the cycle.

I am actually taking herbs at the moment prior to my next cycle and I can say that I feel great and that my cycle is much more regular, pain free and no PMS. I believe that it has helped restore my body and certainly seems to have given it a boost.

    Goodluck.
