    to you.
I was very lucky to have no major problems with my mirena, right through from insertion, during and removal.
I had it in for a year and in that time I didn't have a period or any spotting or other symptoms. When it was removed, it took about a minute and I didn't feel it come out, my Gynae showed it to me, as I didn't believe he had done it yet. I had a little spotting afterwards for about 2-3 days and then had a period about a month later (which was very heavy, lasted 6 days and had bad cramping for most of that time).
    Best wishes to you!

    Hi Hollywood
I had my mirena out last week and it definitely DIDN'T hurt. I reckon it took all of about 30 seconds... I couldn't believe it when my dr said he was finished. I have had some light bleeding since, but that seems to have stopped now. Good luck!

I was so worried about getting mine taken out after cramping for hours when it was put in.

I was getting ready for intense pain, when the doctor told me it was over and i could unclench my fist. All i felt was a little bit of pressure.

i had it removed 30th Jan was pg within weeks

I had my Mirena out last week, and it did not hurt at all. Was more uncomfortable and took longer to put it in, I was shocked.
I have had lots of bleeding since though.

Just had mine out today and there was no pain whatsoever. It didn't hurt to have it inserted either. I was amazed at how quick it was to remove, I didn't even feel a thing.

It did not hurt at all getting it put in but I did experience quite severe cramping afterwards for a while. I bled for about 4 months and then nothing but then it all started again and chose to have it taken out but IT DID NOT hurt at all getting it out.

Would you go to your normal doctor? Beacuse I have this hospital called Hugley hospital and it's right down the road from me. I just want them to not mess up, I need to take mine out, also can you get pregnant right after you get it taken out?
