  • Maternity Leave and Centrelink

    Hi Ladies,

My first bub is due in July when I’ll go on Maternity Leave but my job doesn’t pay Maternity Leave so I’ll just be getting the 18 weeks paid from Centrelink.

My question is, once the 18w is up is there any type of other payment I can get from Centrelink? I know my partners wage etc would be taken into account but I wasn’t sure if there was any sort of payment I can get while I’m still technically employed without pay.

Only parenting payment partnered if your partner is on an extremely low income, like I think the cut off is about 26K a year, and family tax benefit. Other than that, no.
