  • Student Midwife South of River in Perth WA

Hi, my name is Lisa and I am a Registered Nurse undertaking my first year of a postgraduate Masters of Midwifery. As a part of this degree, I am required to follow pregnant women below 35 weeks on a Continuity of Care Experience (CCE). This CCE will help me to enhance my learning to become a competent midwife and give me an 'out of classroom' learning experience.

The CCE requires that I attend a minimum of 4 pregnancy checkups or antenatal classes, labour and birth (if possible) and a minimum of two postnatal visits 4-6 weeks after birth. These visits will always be conducted under the supervision of your trained maternity care health provider. Many women and their partners have given feedback that they enjoy having a friendly and familiar face throughout their pregnancy journey who knows their birth plan and is there to support them.

I can follow women being seen in the public and private sector as well as those having home births through the Community Midwifery Program. I am located in Beeliar 6164 but will be open to travelling as needed.

It is a completely voluntary program and you can withdraw from this at any time.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in participating in or you would like some more information, please send me a PM
