    Hi there,
I use mine for spaghetti bolognaise, chilli con carne, chicken and veggie soup and my fav beef or lamb stew with veggies.

It is sooo simple. Just throw it all in and turn it on. One word of advice is make sure if you have vegetables in with whatever it is you are cooking make sure you cover it with water or liquid stock as it absorbs and may become dry.

My fav and easiest recipe is the beef or lamb stew with veggies.
I use either 500 grams of diced beef or lamb
    An onion
    Two potatoes peeled and cubed
    Four carrots peeled and cubed
    One tin of crushed tomatoes
One litre of liquid beef stock
    One teaspoon of crushed garlic
One-two sachets of no name French onion soup mix

I put it all in together and let it cook for about 4-6 hours during the day.

Serve with rice, pasta, mashed potato or even crusty bread.
Oh and a large dollop of sour cream on top to top it off.
    Yum yum.

    Enjoy :-)

Apricot chicken... 1x tin apricot nectar 1x packet of french onion soup. Then about 8 chicken drumsticks. Cook on high for about 4 hours or 8 hours on low.

There is a sticky with lots of good slow cooker receipes.

          That sounds yummy mummymagz!

Most slow cooker meals are really easy and pretty much as mummymagz said, just throw it all in and turn it on with either stock or water and whatever seasonings you want to add.

I have a cheat curry chicken I like to do sometimes.
Diced chicken 500g or 1kg for a bigger batch
          diced onion
Chicken tonight curry chicken & vegetables jar (or 2 if doing a big batch)
Then whatever other vegies I feel like, potato is nice (but takes longer to cook so depending on when we need to eat or when I put it on I might sometimes precook it a bit in the microwave first) and carrots and sometimes I just throw in any frozen mixed vegies.
Then about a jar of water or more if it's a big batch. (which also makes sure I get all the sauce out of the jar)

I have a steamer which I set up with rice or rice and vegies ready to go and just turn it on the minute I walk in the door when we get home from the girls activities.

Every time I cook a beef or lamb roast I just pop in in the slow cooker, does not need browning.
Cooke for 6-8 hours on low or 4 hours on high. It makes the meat soo tender on any quality of meat.

Do you need to add any liquid to it? Or just straight in. Really want to do a roast.

DH normally put beef in with liquid & seasoning. When it's tender he pops it in the oven on high for about 15-20 mins so the outside is brown & crunchy.

There are many more recipe in this thread http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/f...ooker-Cookbook

I never do, just some seasoning if you like, it cooks in it's own juices, and if you want to be super unhealthy I sometimes make gravy in the slow cooker once the roast is out. Just add hot water and instant gravy powder/oxo

I too cook all my roasts in the slow cooker. I just sit the meat on top of a few scrunched up balls of tinfoil so it doesn't stick or burn on the bottom. No need for any liquid
