  • Volunteer Dads needed for online Support Group for Dads of premmie or unwell babies

    Hi All,

I work for Life's Little Treasures Foundation. We support families who have had premmie or unwell babies by providing resources, information, peer support, encouragement, and more.

We are currently seeking Dads who have experienced having their baby in NICU or Special Care Units in Australia and who are willing to assist others through this journey by becoming a Peer Support Volunteer. With a team of other volunteers you will provide encouragement, support, and a compassionate ear to other Dads through a facilitated Peer Support Facebook Group. Our closed Facebook Group runs on Wednesday evenings 7pm - 9pm AEST. You will be responding to families via a live Facebook chat by typing responses to their comments and questions.

You will be asked to complete a National Police Check and online training prior to starting.

To do this role you will need to have had a premature or sick baby of your own and be 12 months on from your experience. Preferably your baby is now aged between 1-10 years. You will also need access to two devices (eg. laptop & tablet) to participate in the sessions.

If you, or someone you know would be interested in volunteering with us you can contact me, Lisa, at volunteer@lifeslittletreasures.org.au.

    Thank you .

    Lisa
