I made a scrunchie to match the above dress! They’re back in fashion now and SO easy to make.

Anyone have an easy apron for kids pattern? I was thinking one with adjustable straps, I have one where it is a single long string and runs up around the neck and then back down to be tied at the back and making for kids aged 7/4/1 so not sure what size cause I’d like them to last a while. I got 3.5 metres of the main material so thinking I might even make a matching one for me.

I saw scrunchies in the latest junk mail and thought - 'ooh, now they are easier to make than a JoJo bow!'

Tried out the Malibu dress for the first time. I don't sew in woven much these days. This is for Santa photos next weekend. Now I just need to make a second one. 20181125_061753.jpg20181124_203314.jpg

I’ve definitely got the sewing bug bad at the moment! Made this yesterday to give to DD’s little half sister (FOB remarried and has two more kids). I love this. The pattern is Simplicity 2377. Cloud 9 organic cotton voile and it’s so light and summery [emoji177]

Eek! What do you make with just a metre though? Or are they all leftovers? If I buy for the hell of it I buy at least 2m so that there’s more I can make with it.

I make baby blankets ,wraps, burp cloths, taggy blankets to donate to charities like homeless shelters plus I’m making Xmas gifts this year for my parents. I don’t make clothes as I have no idea how to read a pattern let alone cut one out . I always buy 1m as it’s enough for a baby blanket and when I start making big play mats for the floor , I’ll mix n match .
