  • SH!T my MIL says #2

Is there a crappy SIL thread?
I had to call the police on my SIL on Saturday at my partners (her brothers!) birthday party. I am beyond angry.

Not MIL but FIL - Soo apparently after 10 years of trying, several miscarriages, 2 failed IUI's and finally doing IVF, father in law has informed me that they have been waiting for this baby just as long as we have and they have just as much rights to him as we do, he will be leaving work when he hears that I have gone into labour and WILL be in the waiting room and MIL WILL be in the birthing room while I give birth. 😳
So I'm due on the 24th May, but having Bub on the 12th, this Thursday, I haven't told them.

Excellent move there! Don't tell them!!!! Wait 'til you've had him, showered and had some time to yourselves. I asked Mum to go home when I was dropped off for c-section with Dd because Dh and I wanted some with her alone after waiting 5 years. But, when I woke up from my GA induced hazed she was at the door hassling the midwives. I was too drugged up to know what was going on and swore at the mw. Then she got shtty about the visiting hours and then at my Ob because I was in for 5 days and she had to fly home before I was discharged. I regret telling her my cs date. Some people are so damn selfish! No one knows I'm going in next week for cs, they all think I'm waiting to go naturally.

(FTR-My own mother is just as bad as MIL)

            Say what?!
Whatever about the initial comment regards waiting- as that may well be true for him. But insisting on things that are YOUR call?
            Pfft.

The 12th of May is a great day to have a baby I have 2 boys born on that day they will be 8 and 5 on Thursday. Good luck with it all.

                      Yeah he's delightful 🙄
I actually get along really well with MIL and wouldn't mind her being there, but I can't stand her husband so unfortunately she misses out because of him.
We plan on enjoying our little Petri baby for at least a day with no visitors (apart from my 17yr old son)

Good on you! How dare he thinks he has a say whether he's there or not!

My MIL (who's a smoker) recently moved back to the country after 6 years in the city. She was telling me the other day, quite seriously, that she's concerned for her health and worried she's going to die prematurely. The reason? She's taken to drinking 5 cups of tea a day

Feel free to share. I'm not overly fond of my manipulative SIL either, but at least I've he ever had to call the cops on her 😳😳😳
