Here in Athens having a great time. Serum clinic as been just gorgeous - so lovely to deal with! The midwife Dimitria was especially lovely. I can't believe how compassionate and kind and personal the service has been. I never had any complaints about Monash, my experience at Genesis Clinic in Athens last year was pretty awful, but serum? It's a whole new world ! If only all ivf clinics could show such care. I feel kinda blessed. Particularly since between our lovely donor and DH, we now have 12 embryos! 12!!!!! What a haul!!!!! Transfer is on Sunday or Monday depending on how they are progressing.
      this all feels so right

12 embryos is a fantastic result.

I am sure everything will go smoothly on Sunday or Monday.

Three 'perfect' embryos on board. Feeling good and hope they're snuggling in for the long haul - actually I don't know about 3 of them snuggling in for the long haul but twins would be awesome

I hope they hold on tight for you.
I've got a 6 week US this week to see if we have twins or not. Happy either way.

Kath - I've got my fingers crossed all 6 eggs go to embryo but ultimately u only need 3 so good luck.
Mine decided to only put 2 in as he was worried all 3 could work as another lady had all 3 take the night before.
I'm sure it will all work out. Enjoy your holiday

Good luck for lots of Grade A embies! Mine were Day 5. We had 2 excellent quality and 2 medium quality embies left, we have donated those.

i fly home on Wed, because I'm here on my own this time (dh came over for his bit in March) and because i don't want to use up my annul leave in case i need it for another trip, besides we travelled a bit when dh and i were here in Nov.

                      Got my BFP today

The POAS indicated high HCG ... have never made it past 7 weeks before so am really looking forward to the scan in about three weeks time - firstly cos I'm hoping to see a heartbeat for the first time, and secondly because we'll find out how many munchkins are on board!

                        Hi Ladies,

Yay Vixjc congrats on your BFP such a great result.

Im thinking of doing a DE cycle in September this year. I've just had another loss, and think this might be my only option to be a mother. Plus a fab hoilday as well.

ive sent a few emails to Serum clinic and read others reviews and they seem lovely.

Do the clinicis provide the donors ? Or do you have go through an agency ?

                        Many thanks

Hi congratulations on your BFP. Was it you first or second trip. We have just arrived home from Greece. It was a wonderful experience. Dr was fantastic. I got a positive test back but sadly lost it two days later. Feeling very disappointed on our return as it was an expensive process and sadly still not pregnant. Hoping to go back again but it will cost 6000E again grrr. Let me know of any other success story's or not successes story's.

Hey Frances, we've cycled together before and I'm so sorry for your recent loss

I can't be more positive about Serum. They were great with me, they really worked with us to make it as convenient as possible, they were reliable, informative, consistent, considerate, helpful, discreet, professional, positive, encouraging, thorough, compassionate - getting the idea?

They had the donors already, you don't go through an agency. Penny (the clinic director) knows them all herself and is with them for their egg retrieval. My donor is 20 years old greek, and physically similar to me, sporty and academic (those last two we asked for specifically just so she was going to be a bit like me - but you can ask for specific things and they will try to accomodate, and there are donors of other nationalities if you're more 'english' in complexion). I was staying in one of Penny's apartments which was right next door to the clinic, I saw lots of young greek lovelies going in and out of the clinic, I kept thinking "oooh they look like donors!" but of course I really have no idea There were ultimately 5 A grade embryo's and 2 medium quality ones, which I thought was a great result. If you haven't seen it already, the fertility friends website from the uk has a page with lots of info about serum ... http://www.fertilityfriends.co.uk/fo...topic=274114.0

                            Good luck!

Aw honey, that's such a shame, I'm so sorry! It's so heartbreaking when you've gone all that way, invested so much hope and spent so much money. This trip was my second ivf trip to Greece. I went the first time in November last year to Genesis clinic, got a BFP but lost it at 7 weeks. This time I went in April to Serum clinic, and had a much more positive experience, got my BFP which I'm hoping will be a stickier one this time
