                              1. To see them learn and grow without missing a thing!

                              2. The zest for learning that children are born with can be nurtured and maintained forever!

                              3. You can focus on developing their strengths not putting down their weaknesses.

                              4. A days learning can involve shopping, cooking, feeding the ducks, going to the library or doing gardening.

                              5. Easier to keep your child away from viruses and bugs

                              6. No bullying

                              7. math and reading etc can be set around topics the child is interested in so more likely to take it in

                              8. More one on one attention

                              9. No getting up early to drive to school. No walking home in the rain, or sweltering in 40 degree summer heat in a classroom.

                              10. Books are FUN, instead of a chore.
                              11. You can have more control over what is going into your children's minds.

                              12. Everything can be a opportunity to learn, not just when the teacher says it is time to learn.

                              13. No wretched school uniforms!

                              35. You don't have to make lunch at 7:30 in the morning.

                              36. Current educational theory says that the best ways of learning are by discovery and with authentic learning experiences. Learning maths by visiting a pet shop to find out how much it would cost to set up a fish tank is SO much more authentic than reading the information on a page, which is all you can do with thirty kids.

                              37. Most States have an Outcomes Based syllabus - that is, the students are required to demonstrate that they can achieve each outcome. I wonder how many kids must slip through the gaps and never demonstrate all of the outcomes, but are still passed. Not a lot of chance of that when there is only one child to achieve the outcome!
