Toy libraries offer an economical way for you to provide your child with a wide variety of toys without having to buy new items as your child grows or becomes bored with their current toys.

They are also a great option if you are going on holiday and don't want to carry bag loads of toys with you - just hire them when you get there!

Most toy libraries operate on a membership basis. Usually a minimal amount, this covers administration costs and cleaning of the toys. After that there is a per item charge for the hire of toys - usually for periods of two weeks to a month. These rules do, however, vary from company to company and you should check with your preferred company before hiring an item.

Many of the toy libraries also hire toys for parties - the larger items, such as play gyms and climbing blocks are often popular for parties and again, it's a very economical way of getting hold of toys which would otherwise be very expensive.
