I've been using the Ultimate Skies Pregnancy Pillow for a little over two weeks now and I love it!! The pillow is so versatile and not only can you use it to sleep either on your side (to support your hips, belly and align your spine), it's also extremely comfortable used as pillow under your head too and provides great neck support.
I also use it to support my upper back when sitting up in bed or on the lounge for e.g. and it also works a treat when propping your leg(s) on top of it to help alleviate swollen ankles or aching feet (usually both!!). I'm also looking forward to using it as a breastfeeding pillow as well.
It's an incredibly well made, quality pillow and I love the fact it's hypoallergenic and is completely machine washable which makes for easy, fuss free cleaning. Although initially it may seem an expensive item to purchase, it really is an "investment" piece and an "all in one" pillow that pays for itself once you consider the cost of buying all the different types of pillows (pregnancy pillow, breastfeeding pillow etc.) individually.
I highly recommend this pillow for all pregnant/breastfeeding women and only wish I'd had it from the very beginning of my pregnancy!!!
The Fossflakes Ultimate Skies Pregnancy pillow is fantastic. It's comfortable and easy to position for best effect when you are trying to get a comfortable night's sleep. It is not so large that your partner can’t fit in bed with you but big enough to support belly and be placed between legs to ease painful hips. The only negative I can find is that if you are tall you will still need another pillow for under your head. Have had the best sleep of 2 pregnancies since getting this pillow.
i used this pillow during my second pregnancy, it was a good investment. I loved that it was a comfortable fit in my bed and for my body was the right shape and size, not too big and bulky. I also used it for breastfeeding and i love the fact that it has a bit of height so l can relax my shoulders and back when feeding.
First impressions of this pillow is that it is a good quality pillow and will not lose shape as easy as other pregnancy pillows.
I found it very comfortable to use, and didn't take up a lot of space. However, I did find that it wasn't quite long enough for me (as I have a longish torso) and I wouldn't mind if it was a tad longer so I could comfortably have my head up one end and it could fit between my legs. As it was, I had to curve myself around to get myself comfortably on the pillow.
I understand from the manufacturer's website that it can be used as a breastfeeding pillow later once the baby arrives. I can see it will be useful, and look forward to using it for multiple purposes.
I have been using this pillow for nearly 2 weeks now and overall I am really pleased with it.
It is large, it really does retain its shape and I can see that just a quick shake would make it like new again.
Having been just diagnosed with SPD this pillow came as a god send, ordinary pillows between the knees just weren't cutting it. this is also nice to give me something to cuddle up to as I can't really reach my husband anymore thanks to the rapidly expanding growth between us.
Only cons that I have found so far,
I am also looking forward to seeing how this pillow fares as a nursing pillow as that is another feature of its design.
Overall I have been really happy with this pillow, and can see that it is going to help get a little more sleep over the next 10 or so weeks.
I'm not one to sleep with body pillows as they annoy me but with awful back pain and SPD I was so happy I was chosen to review! I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this pillow was. It doesn't feel all too comfortable just holding it but wow once you get into position it's amazing! It really does mould and support your body and is perfect in the sense that it's not too soft but not too hard either. In regards to my SPD and back pain it did make falling asleep much more easier and it helped me turn over with less pain. The only con for me was that my thighs are big so wrapping my legs around the bulk of the pillow made the process of getting the pillow in the right place to be comfortable awkward and slightly painful but that's hardly the pillow's fault!
