The main thing about this cream is that it's thicker and sticks better when bubs rash gets bad. 100% worth the price tag and only available at the chemist (often not in the baby section, try skin care). We are on bub number three now and I don't bother with any other cream.
I was put onto this cream by a friend who is an Occupational Therapist and has 4 kids. I'm told it is used in many nursing homes for a variety of skin conditions - see the website for its many uses. (www.calmoseptineointment.com - it's a US website so ignore the "diaper" term!) It is THE BEST. It is much thicker than other creams on the market, so doesn't comes off easily in the nappy. And IT WORKS. My two boys have had terrible nappy rash every time they've been teething, and this provides the fastest relief for them.
It's not the cheapest item to buy, and the larger tubes are definitely better value for money. Only available in chemists, not the supermarket. I ended up looking online and getting some from a chemist supply place in bulk. But if you have a baby with severe nappy rash, go straight for this cream - it really helps :) It's become my regular Baby Shower gift!
