Find highchair retailers locally and online in the Bub Hub Australian Pregnancy & Parenting Directory.
We were given the Steelcraft Monet highchair from a friend who wasn't using it. Our baby boy was 5 months old when we started him on solids and we needed a highchair.
The clip on tray is very high and I found it came up to about baby boy's shoulders which when he tried to reach things he was on a strange angle and I found it very hard to feed him. (this is coming from an uncoordinated first time mum haha)
He would also then twist around and start sucking on the material seams which then made it quite hard to clean. The padded seat was easy enough to clean as it is a vinyl type material and it wipes straight off. I tried to take it off and put it in the washing machine to give it a good clean before we sell it and I found that it had cardboard or something hard inside it which doesn't make it terribly flexible.and the food which was stuck in the material seams is quite difficult to remove.
The legs on the chair fold quite flat however I found on wooden floorboards it is quite difficult to store upright as they slide around all over the place and doesn't grip too well. The tray hangs on the back of the legs however I find it then over balances and falls/slips over.
Overall it may be a good chair for older babies however I would not recommend it for our 6 an a half month old. I have bought a new high chair (the first years miSwivel Feeding Chair) which I absolutely love and so does our baby!
This high chair has multiple lay back positions and multiple heights making feeding from different sized chairs a breeze.
Folds for storage and tray hooks onto back for more compactedness.
Very easy to clloean and maintain and nice colour too.
Has the double tray with drink holder, tray removes and goes on easily.
Overall great high chair and would recommend it.
I have found this high chair very maneuverable, so easy to clean, the tray has an extra one on top so you pop it off and let your bubs keep on eating.
It doesnt take up space and can be easily stored.
has six height adjustments with three seat adjustments, soft cushion seat.
All in all I would fully recommend this product to anyone.
