I bought the opticomb because my 12 month old caught nits from his big sister and I found his hair was so fine I could not remove them witht the conditioner and comb so thought this would help.... plus no chemicals on a baby!

he has fine blonde hair so they are easy to see yet the opticomb just went straight over them, not catching even one!!

Plus it claims to get the eggs...my daughter had heaps of eggs in her dark brown hair and I could not remove one egg, even though I could clearly see them!

I'm hoping my chemist will take it back.... soooo expensive.....sooooo useless!!

I too found this opti comb useless. I have had a robi comb for years and found it brilliant. Unfortunately, I dropped it and went looking for another. The pharmacy only had the Opticomb which even when you are looking at a louse, will not work. I'm taking it back.

These sounded like an ideal way to eliminate head lice and nits at the same time but the first one I bought simply did not work at all other than the light on it. I returned it for another one and it initially worked but stopped within the first use.

Thinkng it may just be a bad batch I returned this one also and bought another from a different store. It has so far worked  but I doubt the claims can really be justified as it does not work as well as I expected. We had a few lice visible but did not capture any despite best efforts.

I borrowed a Robi comb from a friend, works differently in that it 'zaps' the head lice, worked really well! It does not remove the nits (eggs) though, but repeat efforts with the Robi comb will keep it in check relatively easily along with cnditioner treatment and a good comb.

this product was expensive to buy, and the assistant did not know much about it. the paper instructions that came in the box were not very clear so i had to google it to find a video. it did not catch any nits at all, i even saw a couple and aimed to get them and they passed straight through the comb.it was easy to use in boys short hair, but was difficult to use in girls long hair. i would not recommend this product!
