This has been hands down the best zoo that I have every been too.
We were lucky enough to visit just after the white baby lion cubs had been born and a highlight (one of several) from the day - was having them walked past us on a leash and being able to pat one while hearing it baa like a sheep lol
They have so many exotic animals and you are able to get up close to them - such as feeding the giraffe which has a great big blue tonuge. Yes that's right - blue
It had fantastic food for the family at reasonable prices - we loved it so much that we in fact signed up to be members.
Love love this zoo.
Great Zoo on the South Coast of NSW. Family friendly with animals in big, open enclosures.
Quite small, so don't expect the range of Taronga Zoo, but also much less crowded and less expensive.
If you have a smaller child a carrier or all terrain pram is recommended, however the paths are wide and lots of concrete, so not too difficult to get around. Just a few bumpy parts.
Kids love being able to get up close with the animals. 12 month old dd loved it, as did we!
