We loved this park. Open range and the tours go right through the enclosures. Has a great eating area with decent coffee and heaps of tables, some outside if it's a nice day. The tour buses will take you around and there are a few stops you can get off at and if like us you love getting the kids out into nature for a walk there are paths through the natural scrub to each of the animal areas and a few spots to look out across a savannah like view. There is an up close with a rhino experience and you might be able to reach through and touch it if your lucky. Love the giraffe lookout. If you stay still and wait they come and eat the grass hanging up just meters from you and there is nothing stopping them coming over to say hi as you are standing on a platform at their head height. Tracks are great for pushers and unlike the Adelaide zoo that has no car park this place has ample parking and is so much easier than trying to navigate the city.

Lovely drive through the country or take the freeway to get there and Murray Bridge is just a couple minutes further down the road on the Murray River. A great place for a swim or take the kids fishing.

Monarto is an amazing open range zoo, so much fun to visit and the tour guides are impressive.
If you want to see giraffe's, lions, cheetahs, rhino's or zebras this is the place to go, the park has safari tours that depart regularly driving through the habitats.
There are feeding areas for the giraffes, keeper talks, camel rides, a Cafe and picnic facilities.

Not too far from Adelaide and a fun unique family day out!
