We visited ths park for the first time today and we really liked it. The design was novel, with lots of brightly coloured, Dr Suess inspired hills and columns. The equipment was in good condition and our kids, 8 and 2, enjoyed themselves immensely. It helps that the playground is surrounded by large amounts of open space and paths o you can always let the kids loosenoes scooters, trikes etc when they tire of the play equipment.
This park is not really designed very well...there was definitely no input from parents. Within a week of opening the slides were closed as all the vegetation surrounding the slides was being destroyed and all the dirty sand was falling into the clean sandpits.
The slides (2) are bumpy and I have seen lots of kids hurt themselves on them. For the money spent on it there is not a lots for kids to play with. We do still go there and the kids have fun. It is brightly coloured and there are lots of little hills and bumps for the kids to climb up and run down.
There is a large grassed area with some exercise type equipment spread throughout. Though within 6-12 months of opening at least half of the equipment is broken or damaged!
The only BBQs for the whole park is within the enclosed kids play area so anyone playing in the oark has to go into the fenced playground to usse the BBQs
Could have been a lot better!
