Wow! this park is so amazing. It is a MASSIVE park with massive play equipment that even the adults can get on. The climbing frame is huge, so many slides and the gym equipment is miniture especially for the kids. The pak is safe and secure with fencing all around with toilet and BBQ facilites within the boundary.
I have been there a couple times now and am always telling other people about it. The park is divided into specific age groups. you have smaller tame equipment designed for the littlies ranging to massive climbing towers for the big kids with things in between.
We've taken the kids to this park a number of times, and even though they are still very young they always have a great time. It is a gigantic park, with lots of different pieces of play equipment ranging from things for small babies and children right up to the huuuuge slide for older children. The park does get very busy, especially on weekends and school holidays, but the kids still always manage to have fun.
There is a little place to buy home-made sandwhiches and other food across the road which is always nice. The toilet situation isn't fantastic, but if it's a nice day I usually just change the kids out on the grass on a picnic blanket. Would be nice to have baby changing facilities though.
Be sure to take a picnic blanket with you, as there are a limited number of picnic tables and they are usually taken.
Overall it's a wonderful park purely due to the sheer size of it. I can see the kids enjoying it even in years to come, when they can go on the giant slide!
I have visited the Donnybrook Apple farm park and overall was very impressed with it. There are a great variety of play areas for most ages and it was clean and tidy and well maintained. My daughter has had a great time there. The bbq's are clean and there is a good number of "picnic" tables to sit at and grassed areas to picnic at.
I do however have a few critisims. Firstly there is not enough shade, the smaller children's area has shade sails but I would like to see more of the playground shaded. Secondly they need more toilets!! There are only two toilets and no baby change facilities. I have had to queue for a toilet every time I go.
