I love taking my daughter to this park when we head in to the city to pick up her dad from work.
The equipment is very well maintained, and so are the grounds. The parents are always very friendly and so are the children.
I like this park for doing bubhub meets, since its central, and fully fenced in.
The play equiptment suits kids of all ages, which is great when you have a variety of mums. There are toilets, and its just a short drive to the shops on oconnel street, so it feels like you're out in the suburbs, not the city.
Only concern is there are only a few tree's around the outside of the park, so shade is limited, even for parents. and the equiptment gets no shade at all.
[and most people you talk to, know this as the helicopter park due to the toy helicopter]
This is one of my sons favourite parks, and I'm quite the fan myself.
My son loves the variety of equipment, the space and the likelihood that there are always other kids there to play with.
I love that it is fully fenced with a range of various age appropriate play sections, along with lots of lawn space to run around, kick a ball, or even sit and eat.
This park can get quite busy on weekends, but again there is plenty of space and play equipment so it never seems too crowded.
