We purchased this carseat for our first child, and have since moved our second child into it. It has lasted great for the both of them, and is still in good condition for another child to use. There are no wears or tears on the fabric at all, and it is really easy to clean the cover (and put it back on!). It has been a great investment for us, as our children are very large and would not have lasted very long in a capsule. Probably my only problem with it would be that it doesn't have a very tall back, so our kids have already grown too big for it (youngest is only 13 months). But since we have used it for more than one child and plan to use it for our next child one day, it has still been worth the money. That way we were able to use it for when they were little, and then purchase them both a bigger booster seat (with 5-point harness) to use from when they were big enough (to use until 7 years). However if a person was only to have one child, then they may find it more beneficial to buy a more expensive convertible all-in-one type booster seat that can be used from newborn in the rear-facing position, rather than buy the Premier Retractor only to find it won't last until 4 years (and even if it did you would still have to purchase another booster seat to use up until 7 years).
But all in all we were very happy with our purchase, and feel we have definitely gotten our money's worth so far!
