Better than nothing....

We didn't buy a breast pump until after bub was born (bad idea) and this was the only one my husband could find on short notice.

It worked, but it was pitifully slow and hard to get anything out.

Lots of effort for very little outcome! Medela is a great brand, but manual breast pumps are very limited. You really can not compare it to a Medela electric pump - they are outstanding!

If you are strapped for cash and desperate, then yes, this will work. But it's not great.

this is the first pump i used and overall i was not very happy with it, you have to use 2 hands to pump and your arms get sore very quickly. i have a great milk supply and great let down and it still took me nearly 3 times as long to get the same amount as using the tommee tippee manual pump.

very easy to clean though, overall there are much easier pumps available, but ok if you only use occasionally.

I bought this breast pump to keep my milk supply up as my son was not taking breastfeed at regular timings. So to give  myself relief from  engorged breasts i decided to use a breastpump. I read the manual and thought it will be very easy to pump milk with it but it was a tough job. Even though i was happy with the breastpump as it does help to pump out milk. But the overall process of pumping the breastmilk was not smooth as it use to give soreness in arms and waist. After having half a bottle i use to feel tired and mostly i use to give up after that.

The pump was easy to clean but the overall process was a tough one for me.

I feel manual breastpump s not the thing if you are looking for expressing the milk on regular basis.

This was the first pump I had ever purchased, it was so hard and awfull to use it wasn't used much at all, only when I needed to.

The pump did do its job though, was very tiring to use, and is definatly a two handed process. One good thing about it was that it fitted any standard baby bottle, and also was easy to attach the special milk bags to store the milk in the freezer, saved alot of room. The pump is easy to take apart and clean/sterilise

There isn't really much else to say about the pump, its pretty simple, and in my opinion, not one to use if you need to pump often

I found this pump difficult to use - you definately can't use it one handed like the Avent Isis breast pump.

However, this pump was recommended to me as I had rather flat nipples and had difficulties getting bubs to attach properly. I has really strong suction (which is easy to change to suit you) which was great to pull out my nipples before attaching bubs.

I wouldn't use this pump long term tho as it is too awkward.

Hard to use One-Handed

Okay, so it works well when it comes to getting the milk out.

The problems lie in the fact that, due to the part you actually pump, you end up with sore arms, and you cannot do it one-handed.

You have to pull back and forth, while holding it to your breast... both hands have to play a part, and the pumping uses your entire arm to do... making it grow quite tired after a few minutes.
