I used this with my first baby successfullyand for 7 mths expressing up to 4 times a day, that was 3.5 yrs ago and have just had my second bub and got the pump out, after using it for 4 weeks it is now noisy and not consistent with its suctioning , one minute hardly suction and next minute sucking yr nipple thru the back of the flange, ouch, am disappointed as the money I spent I thought I would be able to use it for morethan one baby,
I love my Ameda Purely Yours breast pump.
The pros are that it can be used as a single or a double, you can adjust the suction and cycle (frequency of pump action) to suit you, the system is closed meaning it is easy to clean, relatively quiet.
The cons are that using as a double takes both hands to hold it on and it is then hard to adjust the controls.
The Ameda Purely Yours breastpump has been excellent. The double pump get's it done in half the time. It is easy to clean and doesn't feel uncomfortable at all.
I've tried a couple of other pumps, but this one was able to get the most milk for me.
A downside is that you need both hands to hold the pump on.
