Best swing on the market!

After spending way too much money on a swing that was powering through the batteries we decided we needed a plug in version. The power plus was the only swing we could find that could do this (crazy - we always wonder why and jokingly saw these battery operated swings must have a contract with the battery compainies!). Unfortauntely we couldnt find any new versions of this swing so had to buy second hand. It is more an upright postition swing, would be great for reflux/colic babies! It has a mobile which can be folded back if you dont want to use, and althogh bulky you can fold it up and put in a cupboard or slide under a bed. If my secondhand one ever stops working we will buy a new one - definatley the best baby investment we have made so far!

Has it's pro's and one con!

Absolutely amazing swing.  Operates with either batteries or an ac adaptor.  5 point harness.  It plays music and swings at different speeds. Cute mobile for baby to look at whilst enjoying the comforting ride of the swing.  Folds away for easy storage or travel.

Only con that i could fault with this swing is that it is not appropriate for babies under 4-6 months of age.  It doesn't recline enough to support their tiny little heads.

Thank you =)

No more batteries :)

The feature I love most about this swing is that it operates on power. My other battery operated bouncer eats through batteries which is annoying and expensive. With this swing, you just plug it in and baby can swing as long as she wants. You also have the option of using batteries, but I never have.

The box says it has 10 different song, but it really is just one music setting with a string of music playing over and over again. So you have no option to select a song that your baby loves. For the price I paid (over $200) I expected more features, or at least the ability to select a song, or certain type of songs (e.g. a setting for playing or sleeping).

Another minus is, while there are multiple settings for speed of swing, I could see almost no difference between the lowest or highest setting. The speed & height of swing is a bit too high for my liking, when my baby first started using it, I felt she may tip forward. For my baby, I would have loved a low & soothing swing setting, which isn't possible, even on the lowest setting.

Hope this helps! :)

Saves on Batteries

My sister told me to get a swing as it saved her sanity when her children were young.

When looking I choose this one as it could plug into the main power - I always remember her saying how she was forever buying batteries.

It was fantastic when bub was smaller I would pop her in there and she would be entertained enough for me to eat my dinner or to make my lunch.  Bub also had reflux so this seemed to provider her some relief.

It would be great if the chair reclined as when they fall asleep is doesnt look comfortable.

My bub is small for her age so still use the swing - the problem is she now grabs on to the sides and stops it :)

It is a BIG space investor though, it takes up considerable space but most of these things do.

Not bad.. But I probably would invest in one that reclines if I had to purchase another.

i got this on sale for $149 at target rrp $250

It is easy to put together

the animals are not scary like some animals and can be moved out of baby face to behind the swing

it can be used from birth to 11.3kg (25lbs)

it has 3 positions for baby to be in

the power plug with safety release so you dont have to use batteries but have the batteries option as well

the swig has 6 soothing speeds

3 point restraint, snack tray, plays 10 songs

the legs fold in and the swing will still stand on its own but can not be used when legs are folded ...of course.

can be bulky and take up room but the baby is comfortable and relaxed. cable could be longer

Frogger
Great for Settling

Our daughter started to get bad reflux at around 3-4weeks of age and became really unsettled. She also got a bout of Colic (well, that's what we thought).

After reading up on swings we decided it was time to get one, as our daughter wasn't settling during the day.

First go in it and she loved it, fell asleep and for the past week I have been putting her in it if she doesn't settle after a while in her cot.

The only gripe I have with it, is also space and compact. Not going to be easy finding space for this thing.

I also found the price quite high. I got it on sale so brought it then. I wouldn't have brought it for the RRP.

Liked it. Felt I got plenty of value for money. I loved the fact it was batteries as well as power supply and the cover came off easily to pop in the wash. My son has only just finished using this now at 18 months.

For a long while we too used it as a high chair until we found the one we wanted and would have been lost without it in the early days.

The only downside is as Lollie said. It is hard to pack away or store

Not very compact....

I love this swing especially bc it caneither be on power or batteries. Since buying it I have not had to put any batteries in it as we have situated it near a power point.

There are a few songs and different speed settings for the swings.

Also there is a little tray for bubs snacks/bottle etc.

I used this swing to feed dd in until i bought a highchair.

Practical but not very compact. I find it takes up a good size corner in the lounge room and its not the easiest to fold up and move somewhere else.
