This book put a lot of things into perspective for me. Although my child does not have a speech disorder, i find at times she is a bit of struggle when it comes to communication.
She doesnt respond to my voice well even though she has normal hearing and can talk. Its very frustrating at times. I now realise that i need to take it one step at a time. I need to have some patience. I need to accept things if they're not getting better any time soon.
This book helped me with that. It was very interesting to read and for a moment i put myself in her shoes.
I highly recommend it for mothers of children with speech disorders and difficulties. It will help to put your mind at ease.
Although I did see that there were errors in punctuation, it was interesting to see how the author handled her situation and came to accept it through time.
