Birth Journeys is a must read for any expectant mother, either first, second, or subsequent birth, the positive stories within are exactly what a pregnant woman needs to read.
I started reading Birth Journeys a fortnight before my second baby's due date, and finished it in the first stage of labour. I credit my  very calm first stage to the positive stories that I read.
I know that I will read it again during my next pregnancy.

Birth is a life changing experience, this is a birth changing book!

The birth of my first child was very traumatic, I laboured for 20hrs and had practically everything they could give me or do to me, my hope for a natural birth got further and further away with each new procedure and drug. In the end I had to have a c-section as my little girl was in distress and was in deep transverse arrest.

I'm so glad I went through all of it, my little girl is the light of my life. But when I became pregnant again I was filled with fear thinking about the birth. Birth Journeys helped change my perspective of birth, I went from fearing the pain and thinking of all the what ifs to feeling I could be in control of my birth journey and that a VBAC didn't have to be high risk.

I laboured for 3hrs with my 2nd bub and delivered her naturally  <3

Inspirational and fascinating

Birth Journeys is a must read for anyone expecting a baby or contemplating embarking on the journey into motherhood. It is inspirational and thought provoking as it covers a diverse source of experiences of both natural birth as well as assisted births. The point of views come from a wide range of first, second, and third  time mothers (and fathers). It also provides useful advice on a variety of topics from professional care givers and Doctors.

Even though i am long past this stage in my life, I still found the book fascinating to read, as it truely has a depth of knowledge worth passing on to my future daughters in-law, nieces and friends.
