I was given this book as a gift when DD #1 was first born.
It has some great information about first foods and progression to solids with lots of great recipes . The recipes combine lots of different foods with some great ideas for keeping it interesting for the child.
I didn't end up using it much though as I decided to go down the 'baby led weaning' path which for those that don't know is starting baby on finger foods from the beginning. This option was great for my family and we have had lots of fun eating together this way with both DDs. It is well worth some researching on this as a different option for starting solid food.
I didnt' buy this until DD was 1, but it would have been really handy from the very start.
Has easy to follow sections on pre-solids, introducing solids and then working from purees up to meals.
Great recipes that can be altereted to suit the whole family.
Annabel has a nice tone to her writing that doesn't make me feel silly when I read her work!
Would recommmend this - a great gift for a new mum as she'll keep coming back to it time and time again.
