I really didn't know what to expect with my first baby - did I need a bassinet? Everyone was saying it would be a waste of money as bub would only be in there for a few weeks as they grow so quickly and bassinets are so small. But I wanted one to keep in our room so I got Fisher Price one. To be honest I'm not a huge fan of all the dangling mobiles, sounds etc. but I just took all that pariphinalia off the bassinet and just had it with the hood on. That's the thing about this bassinet, it's sooo adaptable.
Essentially I wanted a co-sleeper but couldn't afford one, but this ended up being so much better anyway. The frame is very lightweight so I had it right next to the bed at night time, I could pull it closer or push it away easily with my C Section scar or take it from room to room in the house. The feet adapt making the bassinet either stationary or you can turn it into a rocker which was fantastic! I would lay there at night and if bub woke up slightly I would give the bassinet skirt a little tug with my hand and it would rock her back to sleep effortlessly. The whole thing is washable (except for the hood) which was a great bonus, as was the price when comparing with other brands. I really would recommend this bassinet. In fact I'll get another for number two who is hopefully not too far away.
