Sling

I find that as far as slings go, its not overly complicated - but its hard to adjust the different sections of the sling, and when you're using it in the newborn cradle hold - you get the 'pouch/bag' effect (which means i won't use it in that hold anymore - there's a risk of their airways collapsing).

But its a very good starter sling, and i own two - because i was able to get them cheap.

They're good for a toddler , but again, not the best.

cleans easy and very durable - just didn't suit my needs.

My Mum brought me my Baba Sling while it was at a baby store for a very good price, it was reduced becuase they were not selling slings anymore but was still a very good price.

I used this when DD was very young and would just sleep. I found it quite hard to get her into without a lot of effort and tugging, was better when there was two people but that didn't always happen.

I seen them for sale at a baby expo and asked the lady to help me with it and show me how they worked, she didn't seem to have much idea and when she put DD on my hip it did not seem very stable at all! thus would not rely on it to hold her.

Durability is wonderful, still looks brand new. Cleaning is super easy becuase you can just put it in the washing machine.  

I am quite a slight person and DD is very wiggly so this sling does not really suit us, I do not feel like i can go "hands free" and I might as just well carry her but it was wonderful to cradle her when she was a newborn and when use correctly was quite comfortable to wear. 

I bought my Baba Sling from ebay for $50 (I think they are about $100 new) and have used it with my son from newborn through to 8 months old now.  The sling shows no sign at all of any wear and tear.  It is very easy to clean - just wipe off minor spills and stick it the wash every now and then.  My son now sits in the hip position which is still very comfortable, keeps my hands free and allows him to look around which he loves.  It is a very versatile sling, is fully adjustable and can be used in several different positions depending on personal preference and size of the child.  I use it all the time both out and about in the shops and at home when vacuuming, hanging out washing etc as my son likes to be held.  I also use the Baba sling when going for a walk as our driveway and road is rough gravel, a bit too rough on our pram.  In fact I have hardly used our pram at all as he prefers to be in the sling.  The sling is very lightweight and easy to just chuck in the car or nappy bag when going out.  It would probably be best if the sling is used by the same person most of the time as it could be annoying to have to readjust it from person to person.

I was given this by a kind lady who had used it on two children, hence I've given it 10 for durability - it still looks brand new!



This sling is easy to use, comfortable and washes extremely well. I recommend it to everyone I meet!



The only thing I can see becoming a problem is putting a child on your hip without someone to help - I just don't know how I'll go about it.

Awesome sling, iv only used it on 1yr old and 2year old so far, but both have loved it! im 7months pregnant and can still comfortably put it on and wear Mr2.5years in it on my hip... highly highly recommended!

I bought my bubba sling off ebay when bub was around 6wks old - and used it every day until I didn't feel comfortable carrying her any more (about seven or eight months)



I found the bubba sling to be great for quick trips into the shop, as well as holding bub around the house when things needed to be done - I became quite adept at peeling potatos around a sleeping bub in the early days!!



Bubba slings seem to have a good resale value (I have two, both bought off ebay), but even the new price is relatively cheap - under $100!



They are easy to wash, just throw in the washing machine, and I didn't even have problems when it got accidentaly shoved through the dryer as well!!



I definitely recommend the bubba sling to everyone who asks me about it!!
