The peanut shell was a good sling when our son was a newborn, however I found it quite difficult to use as he got bigger (I definitely wasn't able to use it to the recommended weight of 16kg). I don't find that it's a very supportive sling, and we both complained of sore backs within 30 mins of using it.
However, for the time we did use it, it was easy to use (just slipped over the head), easy to clean and great for breastfeeding.
I also personally believe that it is ridiculously overpriced at almost $100, particularly after my friend bought some fabric and made virtually the same sling at home with less than $20. If I could go back in time, I probably would have put that money towards a more supportive carrier that could be used for a lot longer, as that is what I had to buy in the end anyway.
