I've had this sling since my baby was about 2 weeks old and I LOVE it. I tried a couple of other wraps like hugabub but honestly I can't be bothered with meters of loose fabric when I just want a quick 'in and out of the shops' job so the Close Caboo suits me perfectly. It is soft and comforting for baby and very comfortable for me. It was a godsend on a flight to Qld recently - bub (who is normally a bit of hard work at the best of times) slept from door to door on the way up AND on the way back. I attribute this to the sling.
I'm not sure how you'd go with a 'big' baby or older baby in it. My girl is now 6.5kgs and still fits ok with it though. I loved this one so much I bought the Close NCT carrier which is essentially the same thing in a lighter fabric for summer - it also has more 'dad friendly' colours.
I always wanted a wrap style carrier for the closeness and hippy-ness of it, but didn't think I'd have the skill or patience to learn to wrap a long piece of fabric in various ways.
The Caboo is the perfect in-between. It's still a wrap, but already "put together" for you, so you just pop it over your head, put baby in and you're ready to go.
The carry/storage bag that wraps around for extra support also turns into a pocket to pop a few little things in if need be.
I used this from birth with my premmie bub and he was snug and supported and close to Mum.
As it is a stretchy wrap I'm starting to feel a bit of the pain on my shoulders and back after wearing him for an hour or more, because he weighs more now - so will be buying a structured carrier like the Ergo and probably a woven wrap that isn't stretchy and doesn't pull on me.
