Bub falls asleep everytime i put her it it, makes shopping so much easier! I love the added back support, even with a 8kg baby i have no aches or pains from it. Easy to put on and adjust with out help.
The only con i would say is that bubby gets a bit hot, i always dress her cooler than needed so she doesn't over heat.
Overall a very conveinent carrier that we both love, even hubby doesn't mind wearing it!!!
We have had it for 6 years now and it still looks like new, just wash it in the washing machine and line dry. So easy!

I loved this when my bub's were still small.
Once I got used to it I found it easy to get on and off, even if they were asleep. The extra lumbar support was excellent.
However once they started to grow I found I couldn't carry them for long periods and even with the extra back support I was getting pain.
So even though I couldn't have bub forward facing the Ergo carrier worked better for me, I carry for much longer periods comfortably.
It is much better than the original baby bjorn but I still found it to have a short lifespan for me and my girls.

My daughter is nearly 14 months old and I still use this carrier with her. Started from when she was about 4 months.
Love the extra lumber support.
Easy to get on and off.
It did take me a bit to get used to and be able to position it properly the first few times it would hurt me back and neck, however once I got used to it and was able to get it in the right place it was great.

The Active Model is better than the Orignal BB. It was helpful in spreading the load but I must say that I couldn't use it for long periods of time. My neck started to ache and get really stiff....even for DH.
I like the compactness of the BBjorn carrier and the streamlined designed but in the end if just didn't do what we needed for our family.
After much research we invested in an ERGO carrier when DD was 8 mths and have never looked back! OMG the difference was AMAZING!! I can wearDD MUCH longer and MUCH MORE comfortably.
Think twice about investing in the Bjorn...it will only last you about 6-7mths - even with the extra lumbar support.

We bought the active baby carrier, because I have a lot of lower back problems. However, I can happily carry my child in the carrier without experiencing any back problems - we even go for a brisk hour walk using it. I prefer to carry my child in it, rather than carrying her in my arms, because even after a short time in my arms, it feels like I have done an intense workout in the gym (without the benefits!)
It is fantastic for out of the home usage but not appropriate to use when trying to get household jobs done.
We had a lot of trouble trying to get our child alseep during her first 6 weeks in life. However when she was in the carrier, she would settle quickly and stay asleep, giving my a break (even if I had to still carry her around.) She now sleeps well in her cot, but for the short time when I needed a break from hours of screaming it was a slice of heaven.

I chose this model because of the extra support as I have a bad back.
The carrier is very easy to put on & off and it is easy to get baby in and out yourself. The weight is distributed evenly & is comfortable to wear. So far my baby is 3 1/2 months old and has only used it in the inward facing position.
Two negative points I have found:
1 - At times, especially when baby falls asleep, the head support straps press against the face and looks a bit uncomfortable & can leave a mark.
2 - It is hot to wear in the tropics. I have found it uncomfortable to wear outside as it is quite thick. It is fine indoors in airconditioning, or during the dry season as we have now.
