I purchased this carrier on the recommendation of a friend from a very helpful lady at http://infantessential.com.au. I thought it expensive at $160 but now am so glad I got it.
Its light, easy to fit to any body shape, comfy for bub, easy to wash, and doesnt put any strain on your body - anywhere!
The baby needs to be at least 3kg to use it - and I didnt get mine until a few months ago - so I can't say now a new born would like it.
My daughter is now 1 and still loves it, fits in well etc. today I went shopping with her on my front for 2.5 hours - it was so comfy I didnt realise how long I was taking. She slept in it facing my chest and then I turned her around when she woke.
The pack comes with a spare 'bib' thing to protect it from food if the child is eating. The whole carrier washes really well and folds into a ball when not in use.
You do need someone to help you fit bub in it the first time - until you get the hang of adjusting the straps yourself.
