We really love our meridian. It's so plush & comfy for our ds. He loves to snuggle into it and I know he's extra safe in it because of the head side impact protection.



The issue with the extra head protection is that it's one more thing to adjust and we struggled to work out how to adjust it, so we had to leave it to the car seat installers to show us when we turned the seat to forward facing. Not a big deal really.



It is a lot more expensive than some of the other safe n sound convertible seats and I'm not convinced it's hugely better, but if you can afford it, I say get it!
