This is my walking stroller, and I love it. The position is great from newborn, the wheels are pump ones and so smooth. I tried the strider, acclaim and sold them once I tried this.

i bought this pram for my first child and i've been nothing but dissappointed from the very start. i've taken it back several times to get parts replaced. its too bulky that i have to go through wheelchair aisles which can be very annoying. and the front wheel always drifts to the left so i'm constaintly pulling it to the right. in my opinion this stroller is crap and i would not recommend it to anyone.

I use this pram everyday to walk my two older ones to school with a baby and toddler and I think it's fantastic, my 2 yr old loves being up high and waving to everyone as we pass the shops. As much as I love it for this purpose I hate it for quick trips, so much so that I bought a lightweight umbrella fold stroller for going in the car. It's simply too heavy and bulking for regularly collapsing. Yes you do get great accessories but gee you pay for them. I've seen this exact same pram minus the Valco labels and pockets on the boot cover sold under the child-care brand for $89 (that included a basic boot cover and a rain cover) in target.

I bought this pram with my 1st, I think it was a knee jerk reaction after trying to steer my Emmaljunga around shopping centres! It does steer beautifully, but that is just with 1 child.....no. 2 arrived early this year and I rushed out and bought the toddler seat. Very disappointed by the difficulty in steering with toddler on front seat, he's 14kg.
Another reason why I hate it - I have to take all wheels off to get it in my boot (sedan) and the bit I hate the most, is that no matter how hard I try I always end up with the grease from where I've removed the wheels on my clothes, or on a good day just my hands! However it is a great walking pram and seems to be very well made. I will be purchasing a twin stroller for the car, but still use this around home and on any rough tracks, where the larger wheels are definately better. It's a case of "horses for courses" - depends what you're gonna use it for. I only recommend it if you own a commodore/falcon wagon to cart it around in!

I have the previous model of Valco Runabout Deluxe, and it has been awesome, even with a couple of niggly issues. I have two children in it and do more kms with it than in my car. My eldest is a tall 2 and a half year old boy, and my youngest is a fat 18 monther, and both can easily go in either the normal or the toddler seat. It folds down with ease (everyone gets used to folding down their own pram I'm sure) and I have to remove a side wheel to fit it in my VW Golf hatchback, but this is seriously no problem at all, it is too easy to do. If you need more room in the boot, you can take all the wheels off and it is much smaller for holiday luggage or lots of shopping, but I think I have only had to do that three times in the whole time I've had it. It is perfect from birth right through to with toddlers.
The couple of niggles I have with it, I have to keep the wheels pumped up tight (normally at a service station) otherwise it can be a little difficult to steer with the toddler seat weight at the front), also I find I have to keep the front wheel lubricated with normal car grease otherwise it locks up and doesnt steer well. The wheel width at the back is a little on the big side, so it means you have to go through the handicapped aisle but that means it is sturdier than some of the narrower prams. Also, if your toddler wriggles a lot in the toddler seat, it can tip over (it only happened once to me). Also, it is not easy to machine clean. The accessories are all you need, including uv and insect meshes, storm covers, zipable sleeping bag things, drink bottles and drink holders, bassinet, etc. I found the bassinet really good for when number two came along and I had to move around the house a lot with my older one, I just had mum little bub in tow in the bassinet. All in all, I really think this pram has been awesome value for money, I certainly have had my value from it, and it is still rolling along just fine for the few years I have to go with it.

Like the others that have reviewed this pram I have a love hate relationship with it basically. Its great for walking, sooooo easy to steer! If I have either my 8 month old or my 2.5 year old I can steer it with one hand (one child at a time) I have recently brought the toddler seat and love it! My 2.5year old is very borderline for being to big for it but I still find it good to steer as long as he doesnt wriggle too much, he loves it being so high so he can see. Its really easy to attach too which is great as I dont always have him with us. I HATE folding the pram down, its huge and heavy and just really awkward. As I dont drive I dont have to put it down to often thankfully. I love all the little pockets, means I dont have to carry a bag if we are just going on short trips.

I have 4 kids and have been through many prams and i must say that this is the best pram that i have owned. The pros are that it comes with some great accesories . Mine came with the matching nappy bag, uv mesh (this is fabulous! it zips into the hood) The boot cover to keep bub warm. it has several compartments to keep keys, purse & mobile. The steering is really good and the height adjustable handle is great. The seat is really easy to put up and down and it is really smooth so it doesnt disturb sleeping baby. The cons are that it is quite wide and i have to use the wheelchair aisle in shops. I've had to take one back wheel off quite a few time to get through doorways. (quite embarrasing!) The seatbelts are extremely hard to adjust. They do take quite a bit of fidling to adjust. I just purchsed a toddler seat an hood which is recommended for toddlers up to 20kg. My toddler is 18 kg and the pram is virtually impossible to steer with him in the toddler seat. That was a HUGE waste of money! The todler seat hood is also very high which makes it hard to see where you are going. I'm 180cm tall, so i dread to think of how hard it would be for a shorter mum. Overall i do love this pram although i would not recommend it for use with the toddler seat.

I agree with many of the comments already made. I haven't been overly impressed with this pram. I have had issues with the front wheel - I don't know why but for the last 10 months I usually have to remove the wheel (which isn't easy when my 16 month old is already in it!) and then reconnect it. If I don't do this, the wheel gets jammed and doesn't turn very easily. This is my major annoyance with this pram. I have another bub on the way and am wondering how my toddler is going to go in a toddler seat because he likes to lean back alot. But I knew that when I bought it, the only option was a toddler seat so I only have myself to blame. I also had a problem whereby the handle had a bend in it after 3 months of use. After arguments with the retailed I bought it from, he finally agreed to send it back the manufacturer who happily replaced it. It is very heavy and having lower back problems I find this very annoying. Like a previous reader, I wouldn't buy this pram again.

This pram is so easy to move and baby seems to enjoy being in it. Back wheel width can be an issue in some check out queues at supermarkets. But it makes walking a breeze.

I love this pram. 10 months on it is still making me happy. I especially loved the bassinett option for newborn. It also has a optional bassinett stand so you dont need to transfer sleepy bub at the end of a walk. Obviously it is a space hog but no worse than other similar prams on the market. Also you can generally only use the disabled isle at the shops.

I'm not overly impressed with this pram. It is very heavy to get in and out of the car and doesn't fold down too well - I have a medium 4wd and it takes up my whole boot when folded - there fore I can't sue it when I have to carry other things around in the car which can be quite inconvenient. It is also very wide compared to other prams and have found that it does not fit through most supermarket checkouts. There is a large storage compartment underneath but when being used for a newborn - lying right down you can not access the storage without knocking the baby around... so its pretty much unusable to get things in and out. Comes with many extras including a UV cover and backpack - however the back pack is too big to fit in the storage compartment.
Positive features about this pram - it is fairly easy to push around, very manoeuvrable. It seems quite sturdy, I have used it for walking around on rough surfaces (in paddocks!!) and it went OK. In all honesty, with the benefit of hindsight I wouldn't purchase this pram again.

This pram is really easy to move around and push. I like the adjustable handle as it enables my husband and I to have it at different heights. It is a great size for a newborn or toddler and is fantastic for walking outdoors and getting up and down curbs. The pram seems to be well made, I have had it for 18mths now and have no problems with the workmanship, I believe it will last me another two babies and is great value for money.
However, being a first time mum I did not know how often I would be using a pram (every day, sometimes three times a day!) and it is a bit heavy (11-13kgs?). Although it folds down well for my 4WD it did not fit in the boot of my friends sedan unless we removed the front wheel (who wants or has the time to do that, even if it is easy). While I think it is a great pram for mum and bub, I found the bending and lifting required to open and close it took it's toll and once my boy was able to sit well on his own, I moved to a lightweight stroller which is probably not as comfortable for him but a lot lighter and easier to fold and lift!
