Summary: Nature at its best
March 28th, 2008
We headed over for 3 nights (4 days) over Easter. The ferry transfer was fun for the kids and we even saw dolphins on the way back.

Resort staff are very friendly and helpful. With the activities, there are free ones and ones you pay for. We did a nocturnal walk (small fee) that was great. The kids were so impressed with all the animals. There is a big kids pool area and the biggest playground area I've seen at a resort! There is a strong sense of 'sport' and it covers stuff for littlies and adults.

You can hire bikes for your stay (small fee per day) and they have enough bikes that everyone can get one. The resort is pretty big and other than an hourly train, this is the main mode of transport around. You can also swim in the lagoon or the surf beach which is on the eastern side of the island.

Kids activities were fun and pretty cheap. They have a day spa there but I didn't get a chance to visit (next time!). Lots of water sports available to do, both in the lagoon and on the inland beach.

Lots of adult activities, too > 4WD trips, fishing trips, high ropes courses, water polo, etc.

This is a big resort set in natural tea tree forest and native animals are a common sight, but trully, even over one of the busiest periods, it did't seem crowded in any way as there is so much to do and so much space to do it in.

10 stars from me!
