This book was amazingly easy to follow and understand.  Even my husband found it great.  The index at the back had everything listed just as a new parent would look for it so it really was a quick reference book.

I loved this book so much, it is now my gift to friends who are expecting their first babies.  I've given about 4 now, and they all love it, too.

I like that it is an Australian author, writing about things in Australia, rather than an American adaptation.

I can't speak highly enough of this book and will be buying the next one when DS is a toddler. I'm yet to look for information on anything that wasn't in this book and it's saved me many a time from needless panic as a first time mum. I've found the info in it to be spot on and also easy to read and follow. There's great info on breastfeeding (or not if you can't), health, starting solids (including recipes), sleep, developmental stages- you name it! If you're after a common sense, good humoured, easy to follow book that covers everything and doesn't delve into old wives tales then this is the one for you! It can be pricey from bookstores ($40-45) but I've seen it in Big W for under $30.

This book has been an absolute godsend. I had it given to me as a gift before my first baby and I have used it non stop for advice and it stopped me stressing at times over little things as first time mums do.
