We bought this book as a bit of an impulse buy while shopping for something else - and definitely NOT worth the $$.

In my view, the author's manner is patronising and full of generalisations.  She refers constantly to her 'experience' and to her daughter-in-law's pregnancy, as if these are going to be accurate guides for the rest of us.  She is pretty black and white about what you 'should' and 'shouldn't do'.  The book's actual content could be chopped right down to about one chapter, which basically would say to eat well, encourage your partner to talk/ do things with you, and remember that what you do during pregnancy can affect how you and your child are after birth.

 Definitely not worth $30 or whatever it was that we paid, to learn that much.
