this was great for the early days when DD needed rocking to sleep for her day time naps or to give my arms a rest. Used it up until about 3 months and then stopped only because she didnt want to be in it anymore.

At first glance this little swing seems like a dream come true. Its' bright colours (Rainforrest version) and small size were refreshing after having borrowed a large bland looking babyco brand swing... but once my 3 and a half month old daughter (at the time) started tipping herself out of it on a regular basis, the novelty began to wear off. I called Fisher Price wondering if it was faulty or if there was even a way to attatch a 5 point harness to it but it wasn't faulty and they couldn't help me. There was actually a recall on a previous model that saw babies get stuck on the side between some of the frame and I can only imagine that all of these problems come down to only providing a 3 point harness. The instructions warn to discontinue use with an active child and that it can bare weight up to 11 kilos and with my infant daughter being nowhere near either I got fed up and called them again when I could no longer look away for more than 5 seconds without finding her hanging out of it. In the end I was able to get a refund from Toys R us but with all swings in the Fisher Price range having a 3 point harness I see a real safety issue. In the end I'm left asking to borrow that big bulky babyco swing again from my sister in law ... It may have been big and bland but boy did it do the job in a much safer way!

I found this swing to be great for the smaller young bub, when all they need is to be rocked to sleep or to be settled, I found once DS got to a age where he was more alert and wanted to sit up more it was awfull, it only has one recline so DS was always trying to sit himself up and then end up frustrated and very unsettled, I also found that the bigger he got the worse the rocking motion became, even with fresh batteries it didn't seam to rock very much when he was in it, also it was a pain to move around the house, especially onehanded when it was open, when folded it was fine, it is a nice compact swing though, so is great if you've only got a small house

My SIL just gave this to me as her bub was too big for it and only used it for a short time.
I have found it a god send with my dd as I put her in it when im having a shower and she keeps herself amused by it. I dont find it that compact to just take along anywhere, hence why it stays in the bathroom 24/7 so i can just unfold it there and pop her in. All in all, it can come in handy and can last for your bubs for a while if they are on the smaller side. My SIL's son grew out of it by 7 months and by DD is 7 mths at the moment and probably has a few more months in it. It completely depends on the size of your bub IMO.

I hardly got any use out of this, I had a linka doos open top swing for my 3rd child and though the compact design is good its just not practical, well wasnt for me! It holds just up to around 10kg but theres no recline... so they have to be able to support themselves in it... my daughter was a big bub and by the time I felt confident enough to put her in it she was almost too big for it, she did like it but we only got about 6 weeks use out of it! I'd never buy another one.
I didnt find it practical to 'take it along' anywhere either as its still quite bulky. good idea but for my family it wasnt practical at all.
