I have tried many pumps.  Hospital grade pumps, hand pumps, small electric pumps.  And I love my Swing.  This pump is designed for frequent use.  I used this pump for full time expressing for 6 months (I pumped for 9 months, but it took me 3 months to discover the Swing) and it has not missed a beat.  Being Medela, it is easy to get to get accessories to fit. Being compact, it fits easily into a lunch bag with the shields and collection bottles required for a day.  I would carry enough shields and collection bottles that I wouldn't have to wash/sterilise more than once a day. Having the battery option meant finding convenient privacy easier.  Having the belt clip and battery option meant I could be mobile whilst I pumped.  The Swing is quiet compared to most other electric pumps, and is the quietest personal use electric pump I have encountered.I love my Swing and would recommend it to anyone.  It costs a little more than other single electric pumps, but it is well worth it as it is designed for frequent pumping.  Compared to the cost of hiring a pump, even through ABA, if you are going to pump for more than 3 months, then this purchase will pay for itself.My only wish was that the Swing could double pump.  But DH took care of that for me and spliced a 2nd connection onto the hose.  Reduced the suction power a little, and probably not recommended by the manufacturer.  But worked great, and saved time.

 

I was a bit sceptical about spending so much on a breast pump but after using a manual one which caused me pain, I found this electric one amazing.  Very easy to use and clean etc, just don't lose the little white valve, its $5 just for the replacement!!!  Definitely recommend this to anyone.

I purchased this pump due to it being on special when I needed a pump in a hurry. My son was put on a naso-gastric feeding tube and I wanted to express enough milk to meet all his requirements without formula. I used to express exclusively for approximately 10 weeks, and have used it to supplement formula for around three months since that.



This pump is easily as good as the professional grade pump I used in the hospital, at a fraction of the price. It is quiet and extremely easy to use, making it perfect for discreetly expressing at work or a friend's house. It is compact enough to take wherever you may need to pump. The battery backup means you don't need to worry about being near a power point when it's time to express.



My one complaint is that I did not like the soft-shell breast cup which was supplied with the pump. However, the pump is fully compatible with the rigid breast-cup which is supplied with the manual Medela pump, or can can be purchased from the Australian Breastfeeding Association.



Overall I am thrilled with my purchase, and have recommended to many other mums in need of an electric pump. Keep your eye out to find it on special and buy it instead of a manual pump!

This is a fantastic product and well worth the money. Comfortable and easy to use, I have had to use this product A LOT to boost my milk supply and it's user friendliness has been a godsend.

After going through 2 other pumps I stumbled across the swing. It was fantastic; I expressed totally for 4 months and the swing was by far the quietest, quickest and most comfortable pump I used. I would recommend it to anyone! Don't even bother with the others! It is worth the $

I have used one manual and one small electric pump before purchasing the swing...It has a few more parts to it but after one use I have found it to be easy and efficient. The backgroung noise is very gentle and not at all disruptive as oppossed to my other electric pump.

The best thing about this product is how gentle it is...once you are finished you will not even feel as though you have used it!
